ZimCare was built to meet the full specification of a UK local authority tender for a bed-based digital care records system: 84 requirements spanning security, care delivery, medication, CQC evidencing and reporting. Not yet, and it is on our roadmap. In practice that means you would self-fund rather than use an ICB grant tied to the assured list, and in return you get a more modern system, direct support from the people who build it, and a lower price. Many of ZimCare's features already map to the assured standards, and we are building toward formal assurance.

Where is our data stored?

All data is hosted in UK data centres on Microsoft Azure (UK South and UK West), with automated daily backups and point-in-time restore. Zim Digital is Cyber Essentials certified and ICO registered (ZC111089), and access is role-based with a full audit trail of every change.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. ZimCare is a responsive web application that works on phones, tablets, laptops and desktops in any modern browser, so carers can log care at the bedside and managers can review from anywhere.

Can you migrate our existing records?

Yes. We configure your sites and beds, migrate your active resident records, and let you test and validate the migration before go-live so nothing is lost and downtime is minimised.

How is medication handled?

ZimCare includes a full electronic MAR chart with box-count stock control and low-stock alerts, controlled-drug flagging with mandatory two-person witness sign-off, and handling for cytotoxic, blood-thinning, homely-remedy and PRN medications.
